Some options can be typed at the command line chat bar to change the game display.
Go to the settings tab which looks like a gear.
Somehow it keeps switching it back to selectively for me so idk if that will solve your problem.
This is for options that can t be changed in the normal interface.
There should be a remove roofs option and toggle that to always.
Mod nexus has clarified on the forums that the update did not go live yet but will be released sometime this afternoon.

I used to have all the roofs on buildings gone.
