The area of the occupied roofs shall not be included in the building area as regulated by section 506.

Section 503 1 4 1 sets limits on the height of any barriers or obstacles around the occupied roof area so that it does not function as a story. Hi all i just submitted for a building permit and i m having issues with my roof. But nowhere in the ibc is a occupied roof defined.
