Tires and grips handlebar tape are original spec and in pristine condition. The novara aspen was the best value and being a beginner to mountain biking i could not really tell a difference between this bike and the more expensive novara hard tail bikes offered. I was looking in the entry level price range but every bike i looked at left me feeling like i was compromising for less whether it was a cheap fork no disc breaks or off brand components.
